Cordarrelle Patterson Injury Update
Cordarrelle Patterson’s knee injury forced the Bengals to scale back his workload this week. In his place, Tyler Allgeier and Caleb Huntley each received ten carries. Patterson was also held out of the box score as a receiver, having recorded just one reception in the last three weeks. The injury has left him questionable, but he is still considered a back-end TD-dependent RB2. He will be back against the Buccaneers this week.
Tyler Allgeier could replace Cordarrelle Patterson
With Cordarrelle Patterson on injured reserve with a knee injury, Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier could be a viable replacement. Patterson has been one of the NFL’s best running backs this season, and his loss could be devastating to the Falcons. However, the Falcons have a talented offensive line and can find ways to run the ball without having to depend on their top back.
In his lone game against the Browns, Allgeier logged 84 rushing yards on 10 carries. He also added a 20-yard reception. Overall, Allgeier compiled 104 yards on 11 carries, or nearly ten yards per touch.
Taylor Williams is feared to have suffered a serious knee injury
The Denver Broncos are on the verge of losing one of their top running backs, Taylor Williams, to a serious knee injury. The injury is believed to have occurred in the second half of Sunday’s game against Las Vegas. As noted by ESPN’s Ian Rapoport, the running back left the field on crutches and was not immediately returned to the game. The team is expected to evaluate Williams’ condition on Monday. Meanwhile, Cordarrelle Patterson was placed on injured reserve following surgery to his knee.
The injuries to other players in the NFL this week include Javonte Williams, who reportedly tore his ACL in Sunday’s game. The Bills also lost Jamison Crowder, who was cartwheeled off the field and given an air cast to protect his leg. The Bills will be forced to wait for Crowder’s return date before filling in for him.
Recovery time for Cordarrelle Patterson injury
Cordarrelle Patterson will be sidelined for at least four weeks, which is not unusual for a knee injury. According to the Inside Injuries algorithm, Patterson will likely need to have a clean-up procedure or scope performed. However, he is expected to be back this season. The Atlanta Falcons will have to wait until November 6 to determine if Patterson will be able to play again.
Cordarrelle Patterson has been sidelined with a knee injury since Week 3. He missed practice the day before Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. The team labeled him a “resting player/knee” on its injury report.
